Chris Grotefend - Chris Grotefend is back by popular demand at the Durango Sports Club! Chris graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1992 with a degree in Exercise Science. He obtained a Master certification in Personal Training, a Spinning certification, and Level 2 certifications in Pilates, ACE and AFFA. He is also previously certified in Sports Massage and Reiki. He’s been coaching, teaching and training athletes all over the Rockies for 20 years. A competitive endurance athlete himself,
Chris brings a high level of specialized knowledge to personalized fitness training, injury rehabilitation, and fitness class instruction. Chris is an excellent resource for health, fitness, and wellness consultation at all levels, from beginners to elite-level professional athletes.

David Timmons  
David Timmons - After completing a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science at Murray State, David moved to Durango to pursue the fitness industry field and put his 10+ years of mountain/road cycling, and running experience to work.  With hundreds of race finishes as a pro mountain biker and a Cat 2 road racer, David has learned what it takes to compete at all levels of competition while minimizing injury and maximizing results. As a personal trainer, spin class instructor, and USA Cycling Level 3 Cycling Coach, David believes in a functional, full body approach to training designed to increase muscle strength, endurance, stability, neuromuscular control, proprioception, and flexibility.  Nutrition, mental strength, and overall wellness are also incorporated into David’s training with a focus on reaching set goals and increasing quality of life.  With a USA Cycling coaching certification in progress, and a Bachelors in Exercise Science, David is ready to help you reach all your fitness goals.

Tracy Reuther

Tracy graduated from Fort Lewis College with a degree in Exercise Science.  She is currently studying for her Personal Trainer Certification and is offering discounted rates on sessions.  She has been living in Durango for three years, pursuing her passion for the outdoors, cycling and swimming.  Tracy has conducted extensive research in Gerontology and the importance of physical activity in prolonging overall health and well-being.  Her research has inspired her to educate others on the importance of incorporating physical activities into their daily lives.   Tracy knows how challenging it can be to reach a personal health and fitness goal and to remain motivated through the process.  She is focused on motivating each individual while integrating physical challenges to improve overall health and well-being.
